I'm having company tomorrow and I need to clean up my apt. I just can't seem to make myself do it. I'm also having a pain in my abdomen that started last night and just won't go away. Hurray!

Looked everywhere but I can't find any reference to what, I think, may be a sleep disorder I have. Basically, it seems I sometimes, rarely thankfully, sleep so deeply that my body stops regulating its temperature. So, I wake up shivering even when covered in blankets.

This happened again last night. But, this time it wasn't as extreme as some past episodes. I warmed up pretty quickly after waking up. This was also the first time that I had the problem without a dream about an injury. All the past episodes occurred after a dream about an injury like broken bone. Never any pain in the dreams though. I guess I could have had a dream like that and just not remembered.

Anyway, long story short, I'm just wondering if any one reading this has ever heard of a sleep disorder that would cause a person's body temperature to fall below normal.

Saw the Princess and the Frog today. Probably shouldn't have since I need to spend time finding a new job and making money in any way I can think of. But, I was talked into going. And, it's was only $5. And, my car was having a very long oil change at the time anyway (took them 3 hours!).

Well, it was good, you know, -ish. It was pretty. It's nice to see Disney doing 2D. But, story-wise, it seemed unfocused. It really seemed to wander. There seemed to be too many characters with not enough time spent establishing any of them other than Tiana. As fun as the characters were, I'd have been willing to ditch the gator and the firefly if it meant more character development for the characters that actually matter in the film.

Even Tiana's character seemed unfocused. She's depicted as being a pretty happy and fun person while, apparently, also having the problem of working too hard and never having any fun. As for the prince, seems the only reason he get's the girl is because he's the male lead in the film. There is very little redeeming about him. Any redeeming and the whole falling in love thing seemed really forced.

Some animated movies really draw you into the story. This movie just seemed to be a surface the viewer can't be drawn past. I don't know why for sure. I think it may have been the lack of time give to character development or the meandering story or just that we never ever seem to be able to linger on anything.

It may have been the theater but it seemed the voices were very indistinct and drowned out in many places in the film. There also seemed to be a lot of pan shots that just panned too fast and left double images of everything. A lot of the movie was too fast, actually.

But it was a good movie. I enjoyed it. It was pretty and the story was good. The characters were fun. It just was no Little Mermaid or Beauty and the Beast or Aladdin. It wasn't a Lilo and Stitch or Emperor's New Groove for that matter. More of a Treasure Planet (which, I actually like, so I'm not putting the film down). I do assume though that it was better than Pocahontas or Hunchback of Notre Dame. Both of which I heard so little good about that I never bothered to see them.

Over all, I'd give it, oh, a solid B. There didn't really seem to be anything A about it but there was nothing really C about it either.
